The Faculty of Technology extends a cordial invitation to participate in Bridge the Gap 5.0. Conceived in 2014 as a hands-on learning initiative, this competition aims to impart knowledge through practical application.

The primary objective is to instruct students in the principles of structural design by tasking them with solving real-world design and construction challenges. Through the creation and testing of a bridge model, students can enhance their ability to visualize structural failures and grasp the limitations inherent in structural design.

We firmly believe that imposing constraints on material usage while allowing freedom in design fosters creativity and innovation among participants.

This year's challenge involves constructing a truss bridge and creating a concise report to document your process.

Both efficiency and aesthetics are crucial, with an emphasis on the conceptualization of your design.
