The School of Planning established in 1972, is now under Faculty of Planning. It is one of the foremost Schools of Planning in the country. The school has emerged as one of the premier institutes in India specializing into not only technical education programmes on urban and regional planning but also research and consultancy to various national and international government and other agencies. From its inception, the primary focus of the academic program has been on sustainable development of human settlements and improving the quality of life of the urban and rural populace through better access to employment opportunities, infrastructure services and housing.

FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY
Urbanization is growing in India at an increasing pace requiring large basic amenities and infrastructure. A massive input of resources is required to strengthen, improve and enlarge the amenities and infrastructure. This will call for development of new technologies and judicious use of existing ones and where necessary, appropriate technology. Competent technocrats to plan, design, construct and maintain the constructions will also be required. With a view to meet the challenges and requirements of this area CEPT established the School of Building Science & Technology (S.B.S.T.) in 1982 that focuses on the issues concerning Construction and Technology. It is now under Faculty of Civil Engineering. It offers a five – year Bachelor of Technology ( Civil-Construction)programme and two year post graduate programmes in Construction and Project Management[CPM] and Structural Design[SD] and Infrastructure Engineering & Management[MIEM].

FACULTY OF DESIGN
The first of its kind in India, School of Interior Design (SID) was established in 1991 and offers a full time (10 semesters) 5 Years Professional Education Programme in Interior Design leading to Bachelor’s Degree, recognized by AICTE, the Central & State Government. It is now under Faculty of Design. The basic purpose of SID’s education is holistic, multilateral development of human being. Every human being exists in three worlds. The first world is the intellectual destiny, in which one tries to discover the laws of universal harmony. In the second world, the social destiny, one tries to harmonize with the moral world. The images that one forms from this world are what makes one act and behave in the society. The third world is the industrial world that fulfills the needs of the other two worlds. These three worlds move in time and space with certain relativity amongst themselves. The degree of this relativity is what results in changes and ultimately progress.

FACULTY OF TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT
CEPT University is a leading institution offering Bachelors and Masters Programmes in the areas of developed and natural environment for the human society and related disciplines.CEPT University’s Faculty of Technology Management(FTM) was instituted in April 2008 to offer interdisciplinary programmes in emerging technological areas, such as Energy and Environment Management, Urban Management, Infrastructure Management, Real Estate Management, Telecommunications Management, Intellectual Property Management, Technology Entrepreneurship, etc, and to specialize in developing management pedagogy for these disciplines. FTM offers a two years full time program and three Years Part time program leading to Master in Technology Management (MTM).
FACULTY OF ARTS AND HUMANITIES
The Masters Programme in Arts and Communication is a practice-based two-year course in arts, design and communication which includes social science perspectives. Studio based explorations will form the central focus of the programme and will be conducted and facilitated by senior practitioners from the fields of art, design, film making, performing arts and related disciplines. Integrated with studio practice would be theoretical inputs from experts in the social sciences and humanities along with field studies and internship opportunities. This course has been developed for students with a background in art and design, and for mid-career artists and designers who seek a future as professional artists, advertising and media professionals, museum and art curators, designers, photographers, film makers and animators.

FACULTY OF GEOMATICS & SPACE APPLICATIONS
Faculty of Geomatics and Space Applications at CEPT University has introduced two specializations in Geo-informatics field. Those are M.Sc. in Geomatics and M.Sc. in Enterprise GIS Technology. Two-year post-graduation programmes aims to train the students in the field of remote sensing, geographical information system, digital image processing, database management, global positioning system, cartography and surveying, geospatial science, mathematics and quantitative research methods. These courses give opportunity to learn applications of this technology in the various fields of human and built environment such as climate change, natural resources, disaster management, urban planning, infrastructure planning, environmental impacts etc. Creation of awareness in advancement of technology such as participatory GIS, open source GIS, microwave, LIDAR etc. is one of the major objectives of this programme. Specialization in Enterprise GIS aims to form a new direction to Geomatics education. These M.Sc. programmes include theory, practical and field visit as a tool for teaching. The academic session begins from July 2010 is third year for Geomatics education offered by CEPT University who is pioneer to introduce academic programme at post graduation level in the state of Gujarat. The faculty student interaction, participation in national workshops, celebration of GIS Day and other popular events are part of the education where all the students get equal opportunity to meet experts, professionals, teachers and students to explore the horizon. Geomatics Programme at CEPT University has a privilege to coordinate EDUSAT – Distance Learning courses for their students.
