The Faculty of Technology is proud to invite you to Bridge the Gap 4.0. This competition was envisioned in 2014 as an exercise in learning through making.

The focus is to educate students on the concepts of structural design by having them practically solve a design/construction problem. By making and testing a bridge model, students can develop better visualisation skills of structural failures and can begin to understand the constraints of structural design.

We believe that strong constraints in material use and freedom in design encourage creativity and innovation.

Challenge this year is to build a single pylon cable stayed bridge

and also to compile a small report.

Aesthetics will matter as much as efficiency, and so will your concept.

Center for Environment Planning and Technology (CEPT) was established in the year 1962. The Faculty of Technology was established in the year 1982.

The Faculty of Technology provides an Undergraduate course in Construction Tehnology and 5 Post Graduate courses.
