CEPT University invites you to the Inauguration of The exhibition Guardians of Water — Designing landscapes of flow, resistance, collective practice and shared presence, a design anthology by Taktyk Landscape +, will be inaugurated (along with a curated walk) on 17 Nov, 5:30 pm at the Lilavati Lalbhai Library, CEPT University.

About Exhibition

At a time when humanity’s extraction of groundwater has tilted the Earth itself, Guardians of Water shares the design contributions of Taktyk Landscape + to a wider movement repairing the cycle of water.

Conceived as a spatial echo of a publication, the exhibition gathers researchers and artists across twenty tales that unfold along three interrelated threads: Fluid Soils, Cloud Forests, and Rituals of Care.

In Fluid Soils, Belgian artist Lucine Letassey delve into the imaginaries of aquifers. Through Cloud Forests, the intricate entanglements between humans and non-humans unfold, mirrored in the landscape research of Divya Shah. Finally, Rituals of Care explores new forms of engagement with water, understood as both material and spiritual presence, like Kakoli Sen’s evocation of the stepwell as a space of collective care, ritual, and women’s emancipation.

Together, these works affirm that repairing the water cycle is a collective act of imagination.

The exhibition will be open to all from 18 Nov to 13 Dec, 10am to 8pm.
