About the Faculty
FT offers a dynamic learning ecosystem where classrooms, laboratories, and field projects intersect seamlessly. Our state-of-the-art laboratories and experimental facilities continue our legacy built over four decades—enabling students to push boundaries and transform ideas into tangible outcomes.
The NABL-certified CEPT Laboratory and other cutting-edge labs on campus are integral to our teaching and research mission. Here, our students have fabricated concrete structures weighing several tonnes, investigated the properties of construction materials, built scaled water supply systems, and engineered self-cooling structures. Whether through research or hands-on training, the laboratory provides a state-of-the-art facility for students to test, refine, and realize their ideas.
FT offers undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs in civil engineering, construction engineering and management, structural engineering design, and building energy performance. The PhD program strengthens research capabilities in areas such as climate-responsive building design, construction and operation, daylighting, low-energy cooling systems, and indoor air/environmental quality, health, and well-being.
We follow a studio-based teaching model, demonstrating the engineering principles, in alignment with CEPT’s pioneering legacy. We emphasize on celebrating individuality, fostering problem solving skills with a creative edge in developing engineered solutions for a given societal problem.
FT graduates join a vibrant alumni network working in the building design, construction and construction sector across India, South East Asia and the Middle-east, Europe and the USA. Our 1500+ alumni are making a significant impact in the construction sector worldwide—working as design professionals, entrepreneurs, building contractors, researchers, and construction managers for high-impact corporations and enterprises.
