As India advances its Digital India and National Geospatial missions, Digital Twin technologies are emerging as a key enabler for intelligent urban planning, infrastructure management, disaster resilience, and real-time governance. Government agencies, city administrations, and infrastructure organizations are increasingly adopting 3D GIS, LiDAR, UAVs, IoT, and AI-powered platforms to develop dynamic digital representations of urban environments and critical assets.

In response to these evolving national priorities, CEPT Professional Programs (CPP) offers the 3D Visualization and Digital Twin program. Designed with a practice-oriented and studio-based learning approach, the program combines conceptual foundations with hands-on training across the complete digital twin workflow. Participants gain exposure to data acquisition using LiDAR, UAVs, and conventional survey techniques, followed by 3D data processing, modelling, visualization, and analysis within GIS environments.

Through guided exercises, demonstrations, and application-based studio sessions, participants engage with real-world datasets that reflect contemporary urban and infrastructure challenges. The program also introduces advanced modelling techniques and IoT-enabled dynamic data integration, enabling learners to develop technical expertise and analytical capabilities applicable to urban planning, transportation, utilities, disaster management, and smart infrastructure systems.
