CEPT Alum Awarded Erasmus Mundus Scholarship 2026

Mundus Scholarship 2026 1200x900
Abishai Choragudi (FD UG 19), an alum from the Bachelor of Design (BDes) Program, has been awarded a fully funded Erasmus Mundus Joint Master scholarship for the Response_Able Futures program, commencing in September 2026.

Supported by the European Union, the two-year program in design and healthcare is delivered across institutions, including LUCA School of Arts, with mobility across Belgium, Portugal, and the UK. His selection builds on his training in product design at CEPT University and his professional experience at Casegoods.

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program focuses on design-led approaches to care systems, addressing a wide spectrum of contexts — from improving access to local services and developing responsive products and systems, to informing policy and decision-making within care environments. The program is delivered in collaboration with leading institutions including LUCA School of Arts (Belgium), the University of Aveiro (Portugal), and Sheffield Hallam University (UK).

Its distinctive mobility structure enables students to study across Belgium, Portugal, and the UK, offering exposure to diverse care cultures and healthcare systems. The Erasmus Mundus scholarship is awarded to a highly selective global cohort, recognising academic excellence and the potential to contribute to interdisciplinary, international learning environments. The scholarship includes full tuition coverage along with a stipend to support living expenses.

Abishai’s academic foundation in product design at CEPT University, combined with his professional role at Casegoods — where he is involved in design development, production processes, and client communication — positions him well for the programme’s emphasis on systemic and service-oriented design within social contexts.
