Vanijya: The rise of commerce’, a board game designed by Sukriti Saraf (FA UG 23), and Shaili Nagori (FD UG 23), students from CFP, has officially been registered and published by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. Guided by faculty members Kanishka Suthar, Radha Devpura, and Vibhav Suthar.

Vanijya is a game based on the ancient city of Kashi during the 4th century BCE. The city is thriving with trade, located along the sacred Ganges River, and its ghats (steps) are busy ports filled with merchants and opportunities. Players are ambitious businessmen who aim to dominate the market by acquiring ghats for trade access and setting up manufacturing units to produce luxury goods like Banarasi sarees, ivory sculptures, jewelry, and ittar traded across 8 ghats in the city. Players have 18 turns over 6 years, each represented as rounds. The player who has the most money at the end of the sixth round wins the game.

The graphics of the board give an abstract isometric view of Kashi, which is a crucial element in creating a visually appealing and immersive experience. To add to the overall beauty and experience, game components like the tokens and product commodities have been designed with immaculate detail.
