About the Laboratory

The CEPT University Laboratory Services (CLS) aims to enhance the theoretical and technical education imparted at CEPT University by means of building practical skills among students through hands-on experimentation. It is an NABL accredited laboratory.

The CEPT University Laboratory was established in 1991, housing just the Material Testing Laboratory in approximately 200 sq.m. of the area attached to the Faculty of Technology on the CEPT University Campus. It was shifted to its new place and upgraded in 2015, occupying more than 500 sq.m of area.

The CEPT University Laboratory now houses the following laboratories:

  • Engineering Material Testing Laboratory
  • Concrete Technology Laboratory
  • Geotechnical Engineering Laboratory
  • Highway Engineering Laboratory
  • Structural Engineering Laboratory
  • Surveying & Levelling Laboratory
  • Environmental Engineering Laboratory
  • Fluid Mechanics Laboratory
  • Conservation Material Testing Laboratory
  • Building Energy Performance Laboratory

The laboratory is staffed with technicians, faculty and experts who instruct and guide students on using the equipment and machinery. At present, apart from course-related laboratories, significant research and testing work is being done in the area of engineering materials, concrete technology, structural engineering, environmental engineering,  and geotechnical engineering by students and faculty members.
