About the Provost’s Office

The Provost’s Office at CEPT University is the highest academic office of the University, responsible for overseeing all academic programs, policies, and faculty matters. The office is led by Dr. Tridip Suhrud, Provost of CEPT University. As the Chief Academic Officer, the Provost provides strategic leadership in academic planning, development, and implementation across all faculties and programs. Reporting to the President, the Provost ensures academic excellence, fosters innovation in teaching and research, and upholds the University’s standards of quality and integrity.

  • Academic leadership: Sets the vision and strategic direction for the university's academic programs, research, and scholarly activities.
  • Faculty management: Oversees the recruitment, hiring, retention, and promotion of faculty.
  • Curriculum and program development: Manages the creation and implementation of new academic programs and policies.
  • Budget and resource allocation: Works with senior administration to develop and manage the portion of the university budget for academic functions.
  • Oversight of academic units: Supervises deans and other academic leaders who are responsible for specific colleges or schools.
  • Institutional effectiveness: Directs activities related to institutional research, assessment of learning outcomes, and accreditation.
  • President: The provost reports directly to the university president and works to achieve the president's vision and goals.
  • Deans: Deans are responsible for their specific colleges and report to the provost on educational, budgetary, and administrative matters.
