About Anuj Daga

Anuj Daga is an architect, writer and curator originally from Mumbai. Prior to joining CEPT University, Anuj taught at the School of Environment and Architecture (SEA), Mumbai, where he was associated from its inception in 2014 until 2026. His work brings together research, writing, curatorial practice and pedagogy with sustained engagement across architecture, visual culture and contemporary artistic and urban discourse. Over the years, he has worked with several cultural and research institutions, including Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, CRIT and CAMP, Godrej Innovation Lab in Mumbai and the MoMA, New York amongst others.
Anuj is trained as an architect (Bachelor of Architecture, 2008), after which he went on to pursue his interests in History & Theory of Architecture at Yale School of Architecture, Yale University (Master of Environmental Design, 2014). He has contributed to a number of curatorial and research initiatives including Young Subcontinent’, a visual arts project organised by the Serendipity Arts Foundation (2016 – 2018), and for When is Space? Conversations in Contemporary Architecture’, commissioned by Jawahar Kala Kendra (2018) and VAICA, an online festival dedicated to contemporary video art practices. More recently, he curated The Waiting Room’ exhibition (2025) for the ICAS13 Conference in Surabaya, Indonesia, as an extension of the initiative Youth on the Move’, supported through the Knowledge Mobilisation Award of the Urban Studies Foundation. Anuj’s teaching and research interests focus on visual culture, spatial practices, and processes of meaning-making within the contemporary built environment in South Asia.
