About Lester Silveira

Lester Silveira brings experience in architectural conservation across the domains of practice, research, and academia. Over the past two years, he has served as Visiting Faculty in the Conservation & Regeneration Program at CEPT University. Before joining CEPT, he worked as a Consulting Architect with the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage – Bangalore Chapter and trained under Conservation Architect Vikas Dilawari in Mumbai. His work in architecture spans professional and academic engagements across themes of built heritage, urban conservation, diasporic communities, and regional modern identities. He is also interested in photography as a tool for documenting and archiving architecture and communities, with his work showcased in multiple exhibitions in Goa. Beyond architecture, he is a lifelong football enthusiast.
Having graduated from the Manipal School of Architecture and Planning, his time with the INTACH Bangalore Chapter included leading the conservation of Bangalore’s 150-year-old All Saints Church, alongside contributions to several other conservation projects and research and documentation initiatives. He is also a co-founding member of the Goa Collective, a group of design studios working to improve urban spaces and public life in Goa through community engagement, public lectures, and exhibitions.
