About Neel Jain

Mr. Neel Jain’s work explores the intersection of computational design, geometry, and material thinking, examining processes of making as integral to design inquiry. Spanning areas such as geometry rationalisation, digital fabrication, emerging fabrication technologies, and interdisciplinary design research, he brings a rigorous and exploratory approach to tectonic thinking and design methodology, informed equally by academic inquiry, collaborative research, and hands-on making. Through his continued engagement across academia and practice, he brings a perspective shaped by the belief that research, entrepreneurship, and making must continuously inform one another, while keeping human needs, spatial experience, and the mindful application of technology at the centre of design thinking.
He has been associated with the CEPT University for over a decade, first as a Teaching Associate and subsequently as Visiting Faculty. Beyond academia, he is the founding partner of andlabs, a collaborative computational design and research practice focused on experimental material systems and responsible architectural experimentation.
