Program brief
Interior Design gives meaning to the built environment by shaping space for human life. It addresses both tangible and intangible elements, transforming empty space into a personalized setting for living and inhabitation. This discipline requires a syncretic outlook, informed by a deep understanding of human needs.
We offer a five-year, full-time Bachelor of Interior Design (BID) program. Our curriculum fosters holistic development through a threefold approach: enriching the mind with liberal arts, developing hands-on skills in workshops, and synthesizing this knowledge into contextually relevant design solutions.
The program immerses students in diverse habitation contexts through field trips, case studies, and engagements with craftspeople. This exposure cultivates both reflective and responsive designers. Our curriculum integrates theoretical knowledge and practical workshops, which converge in core design studios.
Our Students hone essential communication skills through courses in freehand and technical drawing, and creative writing. Beyond the classroom, learning is extended through Related Study Programs and Practical Training. The program culminates in a Directed Research Thesis, undertaken after nine semesters of coursework.
This internationally recognized program has a distinguished alumni network of successful practitioners, global designers, academics, and social entrepreneurs. It provides a robust foundation for students to pursue their passions and build a dynamic career in design.
