A: After the successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded the degree of M. Tech (Building Energy Performance).

A: There is no provision of dual degree programs currently at CEPT University. However, the University allows you to take up to 15 % credits in any other program offered by other faculties—Architecture, Planning, Design and Management—at the university.

A: Yes, candidates currently working can apply for the program. The application criteria, eligibility criteria and other relevant information can be checked as specified in program website.

A: GATE qualification is not compulsory while applying for University seats (All India seats) in M.Tech programs at CEPT University.

A: Yes, there is a written test for those who do not have a GATE score or do not wish to apply using their GATE score. A common Online CEPT PG Test is organised for all the postgraduate programs.

For the MBEP program students can use their GATE score from the following papers either as standalone choices or in combination with other subjects -- AR (Architecture and Planning), CE (Civil Engineering), ES (Environmental Science & Engineering) and ME (Mechanical Engineering) and EE (Electrical Engineering). If you have taken any of these papers in combinations with other papers that are not listed here, then also you can use your GATE score.

A: Yes.

A: CEPT PG Test will be online home-based exam. It will consist of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) related to Verbal English, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematical Ability.

A: The MBEP curriculum includes immersion in global practice in the building energy performance domain through travel-based courses. MBEP students also consistently benefit from short academic exchange opportunities in Australia, Europe, and the United States.

A: Several students receive financial support along with guidance each year to attendant high-quality conferences related to their area of work. The MBEP program maintains strong connections with several professional bodies at CEPT University (such as ASHRAE, ISHRAE, and the Glazing Society of India), enabling students to regularly engage with leading industry professionals through talks, workshops, and collaborative activities.

A: Graduates of this program are attractive candidates for job markets in India, South-east Asia and the Middle-east, and for research careers in Europe and North America. They work in energy consulting firms, building design teams, with building owners and government agencies, taking a leading role for pursuing energy efficiency with a whole-building perspective.
