Bachelor’s in Design

Admissions 2024-25 - Seats and Minimum Eligibility Criteria: 

Bachelor’s in Design program offers two majors in Product Design and Communication Design. 

Eligibility for seats to be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category): 


Eligibility for All India seats:

Applicants should have passed the qualifying examination (Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination) or its equivalent examination from any streams (Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities), from Gujarat state board or any other State boards or CBSE/CISCE/NIOS/IB, with a minimum aggregate score of 50% for all subjects.

OR

Applicants should have passed the Diploma (10+3 pattern) of arts, applied arts, photography, animation, interior design, architecture, architectural assistantship, fashion technology, handloom technology, printing technology, ceramic technology, leather technology, civil, mechanical, production, automobile, with minimum 50% aggregate marks from Technical Board of Gujarat or any other state or from a college/university established under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 will be eligible to apply for the program.

All applicants must appear and qualify for UCEED test to become eligible for BDES admissions.

Note:

In all the cases, aggregate will be calculated based on all the subjects, including languages, optional courses, practical examination etc.  Failure in any subject disqualifies the candidature.  Applicants having equivalent qualifications other than that stated above will have to submit an attested copy of equivalence certificate from the appropriate authority along with the application.

Candidates awaiting the final result of HSC or 10+3 Diploma will have to produce a certificate from the principal of the high school/institute that he/she has appeared for in the appropriate final examination.  Candidates who have applied for verification/rechecking of marks may also apply and submit the rechecking certificate.

All the candidates must submit final mark sheet on or before the stipulated date and time and satisfy the minimum requirements failing which admission will not be granted/forfeited.
