Student Services

The Student Services Office (SSO) is the central point of contact for information, services and resources for all prospective and current students. As the Students’ gateway to and from CEPT University, the mission of the SSO is to enhance students’ stay at CEPT University by ensuring a hassle-free, healthy and fun-filled experience.

The SSO provides academic, financial, medical, residential and other support services to all students of CEPT University, including International students, Exchange students and student interns. It is the first stop for prospective students, where academic counseling, consultations and Open House are organized prior to Admissions. It also serves as the single point of access for family, parents or local guardians of all students. Last, but not the least, the SSO works closely with and supports the Student activities at CEPT, including the Students’ Council, Campus Radio, and other Student Clubs on campus.

The Student Services Office is thus envisaged as the central hub of student activities on campus – an active, vibrant place, which currently houses the Services office, the Wellness Resource Centre, and the Holistic Development Centre, and which will eventually expand to form an integrated entity along with the Student Council Rooms, CEPT Co-op & Book shop, CEPT Music Room, CEPT Students Café, etc. The attempt will be to link these activities to the workshops, labs and crèche, thereby making it the epicenter of all student activities on campus.

The SSO has four Service Units; namely

A. Academic Services

One of the most important Service Units of the SSO is the Academic Services Unit, which is the central point of contact for all academic support, from pre-admissions to convocation, including Admissions, Counseling, Travel assistance, Financial Services, Medical Insurance, Examination queries, etc. This Service Unit acts as the one-stop shop for all resources in the students’ academic activities including course catalogs, University forms & certificates, timetables, etc. The Academic Services Unit works closely with the Main Administrative Offices as well as the UG/ PG Offices at CEPT University.  

B. Co-curricular/ Support Services

The Student Services Office oversees a variety of programs designed to help students achieve success in their academic as well as personal goals. It facilitates a smooth and efficient campus life through various levels of support services, ranging from hostel accommodation to training for Teaching Assistants to on-campus student employment. Understanding the importance of integrating academic and student life, we have designed the support services with collaborative efforts to assist students’ development both inside and outside the classroom. This Unit also serves the family, parents and local guardians of the students.

C. Health, Wellness and Safety

Health matters at CEPT University. The aim of this Service Unit of the SSO is to enhance the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of every student at CEPT. With this goal, we provide services for health care, distress & emergency situations, and safety & security. Student health, counseling and mentoring forms an important activity at the SSO, which is conducted through a panel of doctors, psychiatrists and diet experts.  Apart from need based services, this Service Unit runs a Wellness Resource Center, which will regularly hold awareness and training programs for the overall well being of students. The Health, Wellness and Safety Unit of the Student Services Office strives to create a healthy campus, a happy community and a safe work environment through integrated programs and services.

D. Student Campus Activities

CEPT University has a very active and vibrant Student body, which is continually engaged in the creative pursuit of a holistic, well balanced career and life. Their enthusiasm towards creating a rich campus life is evident in the number and variety of activities and events they organize on campus, ranging from music concerts to hands-on workshops to print and graphic workshops to sports, games, debates and quiz. There are several student clubs on campus that offer a multitude of opportunities to become involved and active on the CEPT campus and contribute to the vibrant environment. The Student Campus Activities Unit of the Student Services Office works with the student bodies to expand their sphere of learning by providing many exciting outside-the-classroom possibilities, leadership & volunteer opportunities.
