INITIATIVES UNDER THE PRESIDENT’S OFFICE:

1. Reimagining CEPT University

Upon completion of fifty years of CEPT University since its beginning as School of Architecture in 1962, the Board of Management of the University mandated the faculty and staff of the University to examine all aspects of the University in the context of challenges to be faced in the coming decades.  Following this introspective exercise, it was mandated that the University make plans, where necessary, for restructuring, renewal and rejuvenation.

The University undertook a thorough participatory introspective exercise aimed at reimagining the University and prepared an action plan.  The University’s Board of Management ratified this action plan in February 2013.

While a number of initiatives have been announced under this plan and progress has been made on many fronts, this is a long-term process and is currently one of the key initiatives of the President’s Office.
