Bachelor’s in Architecture

Eligibility for Admissions to Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Program, Faculty of Architecture for the Academic year 2024-25

Eligibility for seats to be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category):

Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from an eligible board from schools located in India (including Gujarat State) with minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by Council of Architecture from time to time and have obtained valid score in NATA as prescribed by the Council of Architecture:

  1. No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with  Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biology or Technical Vocational Subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Information Practices or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies with at least 45% marks in aggregate  or passed 10+3 Diploma* Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 45% marks in aggregate.
  2. The candidate needs to qualify an aptitude test in architecture NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture.

* A candidate shall have passed the Diploma (10+3) of any stream with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from:

(a) The Technical Examination Board, Gujarat State

Or

(b) A University established or incorporated by or under a Central or a State Act or an institution declared to be deemed as a University under section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act. 1956 (3 or 1956)

 

  • Candidates who have cleared the qualifying examination from schools located outside India with minimum eligibility criteria as prescribed by Council of Architecture from time to time and equivalency defined by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi are eligible to apply for B.Arch.

 

  • The candidate must have passed in all subjects of the qualifying examination from a single board of education.

Note: Additionally, the student will have to meet the minimum qualifying marks in National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) examination (valid NATA score) as prescribed by the Council of Architecture for the corresponding year.

- 33% of total seats to be filled in by ACPC, GoG: These seats will be filled in by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Government of Gujarat. These seats shall be filled-in from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the schools located in the State of Gujarat including Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli, and have appeared for NATA. These seats shall be filled as per the guidelines of ACPC. Candidate has to apply to ACPC, GoG, separately. (Website: https://gujacpc.admissions.nic.in/)

- 67% of total seats to be filled in by CEPT University (All India Category): These seats shall be filled from the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination (including Gujarat State, Diu, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli) and have appeared in NATA. Merit list for these seats shall be prepared by CEPT University as per the guidelines set by ACPC and COA.
