Expressions of Interest are invited from architects, who are alumni of the Faculty of Architecture (previously School of Architecture), CEPT University, for appointment as architect of a new building to house the Faculty of Technology, next to its present building.
Background
Over the past few years, CEPT University has embarked upon a much needed path of campus expansion to address demands of increase in student intake and change in pedagogy. As part of this expansion plan, CEPT University proposes a new block for the Faculty of Technology. The construction of this block of approximately 4000 sq.mt. shall begin by November 2018. Symphony Limited, led by Achal Bakeri--an alumnus of CEPT, has generously agreed to partially fund this.
Selection process
The architect shall be selected through a two stage process. In stage 1, eligible architects are required to submit Expressions of Interest to the University. A selection committee shall shortlist upto a maximum of 8 candidates. The committee shall shortlist candidates based on the quality of past work and ability to deliver the project. In stage 2, these candidates shall be asked to make a presentation and give an interview on the basis of which an architect shall be selected.

Eligibility criteria
- The architect should be a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture (previously known as School of Architecture), CEPT University. This includes undergraduate as well as postgraduate programs at the Faculty.
- The architect should be working in the capacity of a project leader in an office; this includes own firm, partnerships, and project leaders in larger firms.
- The architect should have completed an institutional project of similar size [minimum 2000 sq.mt.] in the capacity of a project leader.
Submission requirements
A pdf file showcasing institutional projects done in capacity of a project leader, demonstrating the office/firms ability to deliver a project of this scale and timeframe, and testimonials from institutional project clients, should be emailed with subject ‘EOI: FT CEPT’ to building@cept.ac.in Last date extended by 23:59 hrs on 12th May 2018
