1. Low Carbon and Inclusive Mobility Planning – Linking Development, Social Inclusivity and Climate Change
The event will be used as a platform to share the outcome of the implementation of the low carbon transport project implemented by UNEP in India along with UNEP Risoe centre, Denmark and three Indian institutes, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Urban local political Leaderships and Urban Managers in South are struggling for Relevant, Appropriate Urban Knowledge and Capacity Inputs as Well as Find Effective and Accountable Ways of Reducing Vulnerability and Transforming resilient cities. This networking even focused on these issues and was attended by was attended by Ms. Christine Kessidas, Urban Practice Manager of World Bank Institute, Ms. Alka Asthana, Director, Govt. of India and Mr. Miguel, Director, Institute of Traditional City Centre Development Project, City Council of Bogota and Mr. Andre Herzog, Sr. Urban Specialists.

3. How to Strengthen Urban Spatial Planning to Reduce Social Vulnerability and Exclusions in South Cities
CEPT Training Event was jointly organized with the Cities Development Initiative in Asia (CDIA), Manila and ITDP, Bogota. The training event focused on spatial planning principles and innovations to reduce social vulnerability. Key Trainers included Prof. Saswat Bandyopadhyay of CEPT, Ahmedabad, Etten Van Joris, CDIA, Manila, Mats Janamar of SIDA and Ms. Rhoda of GIZ, Germany.

In the last event organized by Coca Cola, Prof Bandypadhyay was invited as Chair Moderator of the session. This high profile event was attended by Director, MoHUPA, and Minister for Housing, Govt. of Maldives and Mayor of Cartagena.
