Faculty of Architecture (FA), CEPT University and Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC), CRDF are pleased to invite everyone for the FA Lecture Series ‘Urban Heritage Futures: Reimagination for Regeneration’ to be held online in Monsoon Semester 2022.
This series of presentations and conversations positions ‘reimagination’ as the key to possibilities of alternative heritage futures for historic urban environments affected by issues such as physical decay, development impacts, socio-cultural conflicts, economic stagnation, abandonment, obscurity or poor quality of life. The reimagination may be in terms of people and places, processes and practices, systems and networks, design and strategies, or any other aspects. The series aims to inspire creative thinking towards devising heritage-led urban regeneration strategies. The key themes of the five sessions, to be held on five alternate Wednesdays, acknowledge aspects of UNESCO’s 2011 Recommendation on the Historic Urban Landscape and the wider goals of sustainable development. The lecture series is open to all CEPT students and members.
Details of each session will be shared prior to the session.
