The proposed talk strives to present the framework for seismic microzonation and most common geophysical techniques employed.

Speaker: Sumer Chopra, PhD.; Director | Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India

Profile of the speaker:

Sumer Chopra has more than 25 years’ of experience in deterministic and probabilistic seismic hazard analysis, site-specific seismic studies, seismic microzonation, strong motion seismology, and shallow geophysical surveys. He has completed his M.Tech in applied geophysics from IIT Roorkee. He has done his doctorate in geophysics and seismology from Kurukshetra University.
