Vishal Joshi was associated with CEPT University as a Visiting Faculty at FD & FT since Spring 2019, before joining as an Adjunct Faculty from January 2023 at FA. In span of 22 years of work experience, he has worked with various practices in Bangalore, Pune & Gulf region (KSA & Oman) and as a Faculty member in Rajkot. His core areas of interest are study of various construction materials and systems that offer possibilities of exploration to a designer. To sensitize the students on how material can be pivotal in arriving at design decisions, he co-taught L2 studio in UG (FD) for the past 09 semesters that focused on exploration of design keeping material in focus. He has co-taught L2 studio in FA that focused on using Steel as a construction material. Apart from studios, he has taught courses like Costing, Services and Interior Design elements. Vishal is a photographer and is exploring the avenue of aerial photography to understand multiple layers of information that a designer is offered via aerial photography. He is a DGCA Certified Drone Pilot License holder.
