Mobile Workshop - model making stations within studios

In architecture and design studios, an intellectual inquiry is inherently coupled with hands on exploration. In the pursuit of enriching the culture of ‘Learning by Making’, CEPT University Workshops has installed a specialized model making station in 3rd year, Faculty of Architecture studio. The model making station has an 8’ X 4’ work surface equipped with power and hand tools. The aim is to provide open access to tools and equipment during the learning process and support innovation. In each studio, students will select representatives to maintain the tools and equipment.

The orientation program; conducted by Mr. Ganesh Gajjar and Mr. Bhavesh Gajjar, technicians with 15 years experience in professional model making; was about the Do’s and Dont’s of the mobile workshop and to create awareness about safety. The technicians demonstrated skills in model making methods.

CEPT Workshop will be installing the Mobile Workshop station at the Faculty of Design in the following week.
