Mr. Sharadkumar D. Mehta has been appointed Head – University Staff Office (HR). He has joined in this new role from December 4, 2017.

Mr. Mehta is a Human Resource (HR) specialist with more than 40 years of transformational experience in senior level human resource management. During his long career, he has worked on all areas of HR like recruitment, performance and potential assessment, training and development, implementing policies and procedures, establishing HR operations, compensation plans and employee engagement.

Prior to joining CEPT University, Mr. Mehta has been associated with several medium and large organizations, which include Pipavav Shipyard, Adani Group, Reliance Industries, Gujarat Torrent Energy Corporation, Reliance Petroleum and Petrofils Co-operative Ltd. Most recently, he was working as Global Group HR Consultant at ITMC Soft, Denmark. His past academic affiliations include the Adam Khoo Learning Institute, Singapore and Gujarat Technical Education Service, Ahmedabad. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from LD College of Engineering, graduate diploma in Management from All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi and post-graduate diploma in HRD from M.S. University, Baroda.

As Head – USO (HR), Mr. Mehta would oversee the functioning of the University Staff Office in supporting the strategic mission of the University towards excellence. Apart from leading the regular HR functions of the University, he will also serve as an advisor to the Deans, Faculties and employees on a variety of issues, including performance management, career development, compensation plans, conflict resolution, change management etc. With his extensive experience in Human Resources, he will establish robust systems and strengthen existing ones to streamline the functioning of the University in years to come.
