About Rajiv Madhukar Kadam

Associate Professor with the Faculty of Planning, CEPT University. He is teaching Urban Design Studios, courses in Humanizing Cities, Urban Design Theory, Urban History and guiding thesis students in architecture and urban design. His major emphasis and interest is to develop an in depth understanding of nature, human aspects and urban ecology as the basis to design of built environment.
Rajiv Kadam is Associate Professor at Faculty of Planning in CEPT University. Graduated in Architecture and post-graduation in Urban Design from CEPT University and is engaged in teaching since 1991 in Urban Design Studios, Humanising Cities seminar course, Urban Design Theory and guiding thesis in architecture and urban design. His major emphasis and interest is to develop in depth understanding of nature, human aspects and urban ecology as the basis to design of built environment. He has written on small town urbanism, urban transformations, humanizing cities and has prepared documentary films on urban life with students in urban design. As a faculty he was also engaged on urban projects under the CEPT research and consultancy cell CRDC like lake development projects, slum redevelopment, old city revitalization, redevelopment of religious precincts, and road development projects.
