BUD: Bachelor’s in Urban Design — Higher Level Admission 2026

- More information
Program brief
The Bachelor of Urban Design program at CEPT University envisions urban designers as key contributors to shaping functional, meaningful, and resilient cities. The program emphasises two core responsibilities — designing the public realm and guiding the private realm — to create sustainable, inclusive, and liveable urban environments. It positions urban design at the intersection of architecture, landscape, and planning, encouraging students to understand how these disciplines interconnect to shape the form, structure, image, and experience of the city. Through an intensive, studio-based curriculum, students explore the dynamic relationships between people, place, infrastructure, and ecology across multiple scales. They learn to design urban spaces — streets, public squares, neighbourhoods, and systems — that enhance the city’s image and enrich the everyday experience of its citizens while responding to social, cultural, and environmental contexts. Rooted in CEPT University’s deep expertise in human habitat studies, the program prepares graduates to envision and transform the future of urban India.
