Vishwanath Kashikar is a faculty member at CEPT University working across architectural education and urban housing in India. His research and teaching examine how architecture engages with the social, economic, and regulatory forces shaping contemporary housing. Alongside housing studios and courses, he conducts pedagogy and curriculum design workshops with institutions across India, focusing on studio methods and educational frameworks. His work connects questions of teaching with questions of practice, exploring how architectural education can respond to large scale societal and spatial challenges.
Vishwanath Kashikar chairs the M.Arch program in Housing Design at CEPT University and previously served as Chair of the B.Arch program. He holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from CEPT and a M.A Architecture from the National University of Singapore. He has contributed extensively to academic governance through committees on service rules, curriculum revision, institutional futures, digital infrastructure, admissions, and international exchange. His work in architectural education extends nationally through teacher training and curriculum design workshops at multiple institutions. He serves in the board of studies/advisors/mentors in an advisory capacity across various architecture and design institutions in India,and was recipient of the Graham Foundation Publication Award (2023).
