Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering — Second Year (Third Semester) Overview

The higher level admissions are open for applicants who have successfully completed 1st year of civil engineering/​construction technology program and wish to join CEPT University’s undergraduate program from 2nd year onwards based on eligibility criteria.

The admissions are open for the academic year 2026 for Faculty of Technology — Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering Hons. (BCE) Program.

The entrance exam for higher level admissions will be conducted in two stages. 

  • Test 1: Checking general aptitude on various dimensions of built environment
  • Test 2: Fundamentals of Civil Engineering

Both of the above tests will be conducted online.

Eligibility Criteria for the Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Honours) - Second Year (Third Semester) AY 2026-27

The applications are invited for admission to the second year at CEPT University from candidates who have finished the first year  or are  studying  in the  second semester as per the eligibility mentioned below.

Eligibility for Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Honours) (BCE) Higher Level

Candidates who have successfully cleared all courses/subjects of both semesters in the first year with a minimum 55% aggregate average in a Bachelor's program in  Civil Engineering or Construction Technology or any other equivalent four-year engineering program from a recognized University. Students must have a valid JEE Main (Paper - 1) or GUJCET Score in 2025.

Notes:

  • Please note that the entire application process will be online
  • In case of Degree applicants are applying for semester III and have not received their semester II marksheet, such students will be required to produce the semester II marksheet prior to joining the course. If admission is offered to the candidate, it will be provisional and subject to meeting the eligibility criteria.
  • Applicants who have grades or GPA or CGPA instead of marks should submit a grades/GPA/CGPA to percentage conversion document/certificate along with the marksheets.
  • Any  attempt  to  influence the outcome of the  selection process  shall  automatically result in the disqualification of the candidate from the entire admissions process.
  • An applicant should appear for all the stages of assessment. Absence at any stage may lead to disqualification.

  1. Completed Application Form
  2. Self-attested copy of 12th marksheet
  3. 1st-year self-attested marksheet of both semesters with marks or grades mentioned for the academic year 2025-26.
  4. The applicant should submit a valid JEE Main (Paper - 1) or GUJCET Score card of 2025.

Shortlisting of Candidates for Bachelor's in Civil Engineering - Second Year (Third Semester)

Candidates will be shortlisted for the entrance exam based on the Eligibility Criteria section.

The entrance exam will be conducted in two parts. Both the tests - Test 1 and Test 2 will be conducted online. The mock test for the online exam will be on 23rd June 2026. The mock test will allow the candidate to set up their computer before the entrance exam.

Tools and Media required:

Laptop/desktop with web camera and stable broadband internet connection.

  1. A merit list will be generated based on the result of Test 1, Test 2 and JEE/ GUJCET Score. The applicant must score a minimum of 55% (combined score of Test 1 + Test 2 + Jee Main Paper 1/ GUJCET) to be able to qualify for getting admission offer at BCE Program.
  2. The applicants will be offered admissions based on the merit list published.
  3. Based on the availability of seats and the acceptance status of applicants, the admission committee, at its discretion, may offer admission further, in the order of a consolidated merit list.
