Central and State governments announce various schemes to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The onus of the application lies with the student, the University will provide all the support required (document verifications, bonafide letters, etc.)

Role of CEPT University (Nodal Centre)

  • CEPT University acts as a designated Nodal Verification Centre for students applying under government scholarship schemes.
  • Responsibilities include:
    1. Verifying uploaded student documents for accuracy and authenticity
    2. Cross-checking student admission status and academic eligibility
    3. Forwarding verified applications to the relevant government department/​higher authority through the portal
  • Eligibility criteria for government scholarships (State/Central schemes) are defined and announced on the respective government scholarship portals.
  • Students must regularly check these portals for:
    • Eligibility
    • Application Timelines
    • Required Documentation
    • Renewal Processes

Student Registration

  • Students must log in directly to the government scholarship portal (e.g., NSP, Digital Gujarat, etc.) as a citizen user.

Document Upload

  • Upload all required documents as specified on the portal, which typically includes:
    • Academic records
    • Income certificate
    • Caste certificate (if applicable)
    • Fee receipt from the university
    • Bank details
    • Aadhaar or identification documents

Approval & Disbursement (By Government Authority)

  • Once the application is verified and forwarded:
    • The government authority reviews and approves eligible applications
    • Scholarship funds are then disbursed either:
      • Directly to the student’s bank account, or
      • To CEPT University, to be adjusted against the student’s academic fee
  • CEPT University does not control the approval or disbursement timelines of government scholarships.
  • Students must:
    • Apply within deadlines
    • Ensure document accuracy
    • Regularly check portal status
  • Any discrepancy in documents may lead to rejection of the scholarship
