Pre-Admissions Means-Based
The Pre-Admissions Means-based Scholarship is awarded to students from among eligible applicants, based on the income documents shared. Students with a family income of less than Rs. 12 lakhs per annum are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Means-based Scholarship Application Process:
- You may apply for the Means-based Scholarship after submitting the admission application in the program of your interest. The scholarship application form is available on the student dashboard.
- Applicants need to fill out the online scholarship form only once, even if applying to multiple programs.
List of documents required to apply for the means scholarship:
Income Tax Returns of all earning family members for the last two years along with a copy of the Detailed Income Computation. (Financial year 2023-24 Assessment Year 2024-25, Financial year 2024-25 Assessment Year 2025-26).
OR
If the Income Tax Returns are not filed, an annual family income certificate issued by appropriate Government Authority. (Financial year 2024-25).OR
If Income Tax Return have not been filed and the parent(s) are salaried employees, please submit a copy of Form 16 Copy/Salary Certificate issued by the Employer for the last two years i.e. Financial year 2023-24 & Financial year 2024-25- If Parent(s) are having business income, a copy of the Signed/Audited Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account for the Financial year 2024-25 -Assessment Year 2025-26.
- List of Immovable Properties and Investments owned by the family along with Approx. Market Value as on 31.3.2025 (as per the prescribed format in the scholarship form).
- Copy of Bank statement for the last nine months April 2025 to Dec 2025.
- Annual Information Statement (AIS) (part of 26As) for Financial year 2024-25, Assessment Year 2025-26. Download from the Income Tax site.
- Student undertaking that they are not recipients of any other government/private scholarships, grants or benefits (as per the prescribed format in the scholarship form).
- Family Income declaration by parents/guardians, stating definite income as per the Income tax return Financial Year 2024-25 from all sources by way of an affidavit on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 50 is required (as per the prescribed format in the scholarship form).
- Copy of Bank passbook or blank crossed cheque of the bank (Account must be in the name of the student applying for Scholarship).
- Educational Expenses of other siblings and any Government/Other help (as per prescribed format in the scholarship form).
- Receipt of Fee payment for the last semester/year attended at the last School/College/ University.
- Please note that the above documents must be uploaded in PDF format. It is recommended to have scanned copies of all documents ready before applying for the scholarship.
- The University reserves the right to reject any scholarship application if the required supporting documents are not submitted by the applicant.
- The scholarship award will be communicated at the time of the Admission Offer.
- Any such revision in the scholarship policy will apply to all candidates and is final and binding.
Recipients of merit and means scholarship will continue to receive the scholarship for the full duration of the program, provided they maintain the academic performance specified in the scholarship award letter.
The University reserves the right to withdraw Student Financial Aid and scholarships if the applicant fails to provide the required supporting documents from time to time.
For Means-cum-Merit Scholarships, the University may review and cancel the scholarship if any verified complaint regarding misrepresentation of family income is received against the scholarship holder.
