Common Foundation

All undergraduate students at CEPT — from across faculties of Architecture, Design, Planning and Technology — begin their journey with the CEPT Foundation Program, a one-year immersive experience.

The program builds strong foundational skills essential for creative and professional growth, while encouraging cross-disciplinary learning. It brings together four key components:

(i) Studio; (ii) Field Studio; (iii) Reading Objects, Writing Craft; (iv) Perspectives

These elements are designed to connect and complement each other, fostering deeper exploration through hands-on practice and critical thinking.

Students become part of a vibrant, collaborative learning community that values curiosity, excellence, and a strong work ethic — laying the groundwork for their future in the built environment.
