Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (BCE) at Faculty of Technology, CEPT University is a unique engineering program focused on creative problem-solving skills and technological innovation in the construction industry. This program works at the intersection of allied disciplines of the built environment such as architecture, planning, design, and management. The program provides fundamental education in essential aspects of civil engineering, i.e., structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, transport engineering, building services, construction engineering and management. By bringing these aspects together the program offers students a healthy and robust studio environment to unpack the complex fundamentals of Civil Engineering.

BCE is the only program in India that implements studio-based teaching by engaging students in real-life problems under the guidance of studio tutors. The 'studio' teaching style inculcates problem-solving, independent thinking, and an action-oriented approach among the students, constituting the bulk of the academic credits in the curriculum. The studios are further supported by mandatory courses, electives, and skill-enhancing workshops to expand the students' conceptual, theoretical, and analytical abilities. The faculty in the program comprises highly experienced academicians and practising professionals with excellent professional and academic rigour. 

In their first year the students undergo a common foundation program of CEPT university, where undergraduate students of CEPT from all disciplines (architecture, product design, communications design, urban design and civil engineering) have a rigorous training in developing program specific and overall skills required for the further semesters in their programs. skill building. This is a unique feature of an engineering program where future engineers interact with future architects and designers and delve into the interdisciplinary knowledge gaining and sharing process. Subsequently,  this BCE  program takes the students through professional training in various civil engineering companies, projects and consultancy firms across India and abroad for a complete semester. This is followed by a Directed Research Project to build independent problem-solving and learning abilities among the students. 

The five-year Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering program leads to a B.Tech (Honours) Civil Engineering degree. Graduates of the program are trained to undertake further education at some of the most prolific universities with focus on Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, Structural Design, Infrastructure Design, including Urban Planning and Management. The program is sustained through a strong network of 1500+ alumni who are making an impact in the construction sector, in India and abroad, as design professionals, entrepreneurs, building contractors, researchers, and construction managers for high-impact corporations and construction enterprises across the globe.
