About the position

The Faculty of Management (FM) at CEPT University provides education in management disciplines, particularly in the context of the emerging challenges and opportunities within urban built environments. The Master’s in Urban Management program, initiated in 2013, aims to develop a cadre of able and agile professionals equipped with relevant skills for managing urban transformation in India and across the world.

CEPT University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (full time or Adjunct -for candidates engaged in practice or with other concurrent professional commitments) position at Faculty of Management. CEPT University encourages and enables professional growth of individuals and practicing professionals keen to seriously engage in consulting engagements, with CRDF as part of CEPT and/or outside CEPT, along with teaching and research at CEPT.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. All faculty members at CEPT University will be engaged in a combination of Teaching, Research and Institutional work.
  2. To make a distinguished contribution to teaching, continually improving academic standards and adopting cutting-edge curricula and pedagogic practices.
  3. To provide leadership in curriculum development through continuous improvement and innovate in the design, articulation and delivery of courses
  4. To contribute to the collegial environment at the University and to further its mission in the pursuit of excellence.
  5. To advance student learning and student success based on outcomes outlined in the curricula.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for positions:

Educational Qualification Asst. Professor (Full Time or Adjunct)
 Master's degree/Post Graduation in Management/Business Administration/Public Policy/Public Management or Public Administration, etc.  5 years of total experience in professional practice, teaching and research, or a combination thereof, in the area of specialization mentioned above.
 Doctoral Degree with the previous degrees in any of above discipline  None

 

Expertise Required:

The candidate should have:

  • A relevant academic & professional background, domain knowledge, and have demonstrated core competency in the area of specialization.
  • Excellent teaching and research skills, and an ability to integrate new methods of teaching and mentoring with an on-going pedagogy.
  • A strong analytical and communication (visual and written) skills.
  • Appropriate technical and software knowledge in the context of the area of specialization.
  • A commitment to research.
  • A critical understanding of the scope and breadth of the profession.
  • Should be fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated ability of integrating professional best practices in teaching.
