Library celebrates first Foundation Year

Lilavati Lalbhai Library celebrated its first foundation day on 8th October 2018 at CEPT University. The report for the year 2017-18 was presented along with the mission statement and plans for the future. There was also a book exhibition at the FA Ramp where the book “Le Corbusier’s Villa Shodhan” by Manisha Shodhan Basu was launched. The event ended with an announcement of a design challenge for the library’s furniture. Hiren Patel, Architect & Alumnus (FA, 83’ batch) has made a donation of 1.5 lakh rupees to the CEPT Library to expand its collection. 61 books related to art and architecture have been purchased from this donation. An exhibition of these books was organized on the FA Ramp. Last year also he had donated 1.5 lakh rupees to the CEPT library for purchase of books.
