Admission Procedures

Procedure for Admissions to Master’s in Real Estate (MRE) Program, Faculty of Management for the Academic year 2026 – 27

National Applicants 

A recognized bachelor’s degree in any discipline, completed in full-time regular mode, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general category candidates and 45% aggregate marks for reserved categories candidates- as per the University regulations.

Valid Score of CAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/ATMA/MAT is required. Candidates without such valid scores shall be required to undertake the PG Test conducted by CEPT University. CEPT PG Test will be online.

International/Foreign Applicants 

A recognized bachelor's degree in any discipline, completed in full-time regular mode, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for general category candidates.

Valid score of GMAT/GRE is required.International candidates can appear for CEPT PG Test, if they have not taken GMAT/GRE. CEPT PG Test will be online.

Sponsored Candidates

  1. All conditions applicable to national applicants in general category.
  2. Minimum 5 years of overall experience as on the last date of application of the year in which the application is made, with at least 2 years in service of the organization sponsoring the study. This organization can be academic, industrial or research based in the relevant field for which the candidate is seeking admission.

The entire application process will be online.

The application forms contain the following:

1. Personal Details

  • Passport-size photo (photo taken in full face view, facing the camera with both eyes open). Maximum 100 KB and pixel: 170 * 170 (white background only). Selfie is prohibited; it may result in cancellation of your application.
  • Scanned copy of the certificate for reservation category issued by competent authority. (Please do not attach photographs of certificates)

2. Contact Details
Contact details include your permanent, preferred and emergency contact(s).

3. Education Details

  • Scanned copies of self-attested 10th marksheet, 12th marksheet
  • Scanned copies of Self-attested transfer certificate/migration certificate, Provisional/Degree certificates, transcripts, and mark sheets for all semesters of the last qualifying degree.
  • Applicants receiving grades as GPA/CGPA need to send the document indicating the relationship of GPA/CGPA with percentage marks as per their university/ institute along with all the mark sheets.
  • Applicants studying in the final semester need to submit all the mark sheets till the penultimate semester. (Max 10 MB) *

4. Work Experience

  • Curriculum Vitae ((Max 10 MB) *)
  • Work experience certificate (Max 10 MB)

5. Details of eligibility Test

  • Valid Score of CAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/GRE/ATMA/MATis required.
  • Name of the exam
  • Registration number
  • Month/YYYY appeared.
  • Score Card (Max 1MB) *
  • Percentile

  • GRE is applicable to international candidates only. International candidates may also apply with GMAT scores. If they have not appeared for GMAT/GRE, they can select CEPT PG Test. CEPT PG Test for all the candidates is online from home.

6. References

Applicants are required to provide details of two references from their professional or academic background in the online application form.

Please do not mention family members or close relatives as references. If such references are found in any application, it may be rejected at a later stage of the application process.

*Note: All applications received will be scrutinised based on information provided/uploaded in the application forms in order to verify the eligibility criteria and be considered for further stages of the admissions process.

National Students

Stage 1 – Eligibility Check and Shortlist

  • The application will be scrutinized based on information provided/uploaded by candidate in the application form to ascertain that candidate meets eligibility criteria, and only the qualifying applicants will be considered for further processing. Based on this scrutiny, applicants will receive an individual email notifying them of their acceptance or rejection status.
  • The candidate is required to submit a valid score of CAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT/ATMA/MAT at the time of submitting the application. 
  • If the candidate does not have a valid score from these exams, they will be required to appear for CEPT PG Test. CEPT PG Test will be online.

Stage 2 – Online Interview

  • Qualifying candidates from Stage 1 will be asked to appear for an online interview with a panel of faculty members, on a given date and time. Candidates will be required to ensure appearing on time. (Requests for change of slot will only be entertained based on availability of slots).

Stage 3- Application Evaluation and final merit score

The final merit score of each candidate shall be calculated based on the following assessment criteria:

Assessment criteria:

  1. CLASS X Score (percentage)
  2. CLASS XII Score (percentage)
  3. Graduation Score: Academic performance in the last qualifying degree

It will include Average Cumulative Percentage/ CGPA of all semesters of the qualifying degree. In case, last semester results are pending then percentage till the penultimate semester will be considered.

4. Work Experience

Only full-time work experience will be considered. The experience should be supported with a certificate. Internships done while studying will not be considered as work experience.

Please note that the candidates can view their merit rank on their dashboard on CEPT admission portal once the merit list is published.

Based on the number of available seats, CEPT University will offer admission to applicants as per the merit order in the merit list. The candidate will be asked to deposit the fee and secure admission by the date given in the offer letter. After this date CEPT University at its discretion may offer admission to candidates on the waitlists in order of merit as per the availability of seats.

The admission procedure and assessment criteria are the same for national, international, and sponsored candidates unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

International/Foreign Students

The entire application process will be undertaken through online mode.

Valid score of GMAT/GRE is required. International candidates can appear for CEPT PG Test, if they have not taken GMAT/GRE. CEPT PG Test will be online.

The admission procedure and assessment criteria are the same as for national and sponsored candidates unless specifically mentioned otherwise.

A separate merit list will be prepared for seats of international candidates.

Sponsored Candidates

The seats for the sponsored candidates will be a maximum of 10% of the sanctioned University intake of each program and will be considered as within the sanctioned intake for PG programs. Hence three seats out of thirty will be sponsored candidates.

The applicants will be required to submit the following:

  • Sponsorship Certificate and/or No Objection certificate from the last employer
  • Proof of Employment that may include the
    1. Appointment letter

    2. Form No. 16 for the last two years from the last employer

    3. Experience certificate(s) indicating minimum experience of 5 years

    4. Any other proof as deemed necessary by the committee

MBA (Real Estate)

The admissions for Government Seats shall be conducted by the respective Admission Committee constituted in accordance with the provisions of the said Act. These seats shall be offered to the students who have passed the qualifying examination from an eligible Board or University located in the State of Gujarat. The students who qualify as per the eligibility criteria and possess domicile of the State of Gujarat shall also be eligible for admission to Government Seats.

Merit-based scholarships are offered to applicants along with their admission offer letter based on their standing in the admissions merit list.
