Professional Regulation

CEPT University is focused on educating professionals in the field of Human Habitat. Some of these professions are regulated through professional regulations such as The Architects Act (1972) or The Engineers Bill (proposed). As the profession undergoes change, these professional regulations, which not only affect the practice of the profession but also the education, need to be reviewed and revised appropriately.

The Professional Regulations mission at CEPT University aims to clarify the issues and debates surrounding these various professional regulations and help bring about implementation of these ideas in the existing or proposed regulations.

Currently, the Professional Regulations Mission is involved with the review of the Architect’s Act of 1972 for which the Council of Architecture has proposed an amendment.
