Faculty of Design

The culture of collaboration is central to the Faculty of Design. We are conscious of the complexity, diversity and intersectionality of design. We continue to seek new directions and dynamic opportunities in design and are responsive, intentional, and agile in assimilating them. We contemplate both histories and futures, whilst remaining focussed on the fast-moving present. We are as technological as we are socio-cultural, as human-centric as computational, as conceptual as industry aligned, as systems oriented as detail driven, and as open to experimentation as explicit about quality.

You will experience Design at CEPT through its historic and modernized campus, with access to some of the finest academic resources in the country. Our infrastructure includes an expansive library, multiple workshops, labs, new technologies in digital fabrication, print facilities, and varied equipment - from cameras and drones to VR headsets. Our academic culture is enriched by students from across geographies, all connected by the inclusive language of design.

Our student-centric approach is mindful of each of your choices, learning capabilities, and academic trajectories. Our core strength is our pedagogical ecosystem that ensures concentration and depth, benefitting from extraordinary faculty-student ratios and the expertise of our eminent faculty. Beyond multidisciplinary pathways within our Faculty, our integrated electives provide a shared platform for all at CEPT, melding domain extents, and enhancing cross-disciplinary encounters.
